Bowen
The Bowen Technique is a unique hands-on therapy which is non-manipulative,
relaxing and very effective treatment for many ailments. The therapist
uses his hands to make gentle rolling-type movements over muscle,
tendon or ligament. These can be performed through light clothing.
It treats, for example,
- back problems
- frozen shoulder
- tennis elbow
- knee, hip and foot problems
- hayfever
- asthma
- eczema and other skin conditions
- digestive disorders
- respiratory problems
- reproductive system
Babies and the elderly benefit from Bowen treatment.
Originating from Australia, and brought to Europe and the UK in
1992 by Julian Baker, Director of the European College of Bowen
Studies, the Bowen Technique has gained increasing popularity with
both orthodox and alternative health care professionals.
